On July 26, 2010, at a big Caribbean summer party, Leinfelder Uhren München unveiled their new men's chronograph, the Meridian Antigua. The regatta watch was specially designed for the Antigua Sailing Week 2010. Prof. Dr. Ulrich L. Rohde, a passionate watch enthusiast and sailing fan himself, gave the team at the Munich workshop the inspiration for this latest model.

Under the slogan "Start into a new Time", an impressive 150 guests flocked to the event. A Dragon class sailing boat, which the visitors were free to explore, brought a splash of Caribbean sailing flair to the courtyard at Pacelli Street. Caribbean specialties were served, and a DJ supplied the appropriate musical accompaniment.

Among the guests was Joerg Moessnang, multiple European and world champion in several different sailing classes. Apart from the watch presentation itself, the highlight of the evening was the raffling off of a crew spot on the sailing boat Anne Sophie, which started in the French “Les Voiles du Saint-Tropez” regatta. The proceeds were donated to a non-profit organization.
